Meet Dr. Magalnick

Born in New York City in 1946, Dr. Magalnick was raised in the Bronx. He attended Harpur College, State University of New York at Binghamton (now know as Binghamton University) where he received his B.A. degree in biology in 1966. He entered dental school at the University of Pittsburgh in 1966 and received his DMD degree in 1970.

Dr. Magalnick attended a one-year rotating dental internship program at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh following his dental school graduation. He then completed his professional training at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore where he was an oral and maxillofacial surgical resident from 1971 to 1974. He then spent the next two years as a U.S. Army oral surgeon with the 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell, KY. He received his boards in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 1976.

He began his professional career in Salem and Peabody, Massachusetts in a practice limited to oral and maxillofacial surgery and is a partner in Salem-Peabody Oral Surgery, with offices in Peabody, Melrose and Newburyport, MA. He is past Chief of Dentistry at the North Shore Medical Center,Salem, MA.

Dr. Magalnick is a consulting oral surgeon for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. He is an active fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Massachusetts Oral and Maxillofacial Society, the American Dental Society and the North Shore Dental Society. He practices all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery and is on the active staff at theNorth Shore Medical Center as well as Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Daniel has been happily married to his wife, Linda, for forty years and has two married daughters and four grandchildren.His hobbies include tennis, golf, skiing and scuba diving.
