Dr. Ilya Garibyan was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and grew up in Jerusalem, Israel. He immigrated to Boston, MA with his family and enrolled in Boston University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry graduating Cum Laude. Dr. Garibyan then attended Boston University School of Dentistry which he graduated Summa Cum Laude.
During his time as a dental student, he developed strong passion for volunteering abroad and participated in a mission trip to Honduras where he provided dental care to underserved population. After graduating dental school, he enrolled in general practice residency in Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY where he developed his passion for the practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery. After practicing general dentistry for one year, Dr. Garibyan enrolled in residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ.
As a resident, Dr. Garibyan trained in all aspects of the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including office-based anesthesia, dental implants, pathology, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial trauma, bone grafting, cleft lip and palate, and dentoalveolar surgery. Dr. Garibyan also participated in two mission trips to Bangladesh where he performed cleft lip and palate surgery.
Today, Dr. Garibyan is committed to providing top quality care and personalized treatment for his patients. He strives to create a welcoming environment and to ensure each patient’s comfort. Dr. Garibyan regularly attends continuing education courses and takes great pride in providing quality results utilizing the latest technology and techniques available in treating his patients. In his free time, Dr. Garibyan enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, biking, playing tennis, and spending time outdoors.
