Meet Dr. Jurgens
Dr. Lori Jurgens came to us in January 2014 from San Juan, Puerto Rico, where she grew up and practiced the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for 20 years. She was chief of Oral Surgery at San Jorge Children’s Hospital and Ashford-Presbyterian Community Hospital.
She received her bachelor’s degree at the age of nineteen in Speech Pathology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Dr. Jurgens completed her dental degree at Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois, and went on to do her surgical residency back home at the University of Puerto Rico.
Dr. Jurgens holds staff privileges at the North Shore Medical Center, and is a fellow of the American Association of Oral Surgeons as well as a diplomat of the American Board of Oral Surgery. Additionally, Dr. Jurgens remains a member of the PR Society of OMS, the American Cleft Palate, the American Society of Forensic Odontology, the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association and the International College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Jurgens is active as both a performer and a director in all varieties of music.
